Montgomery Haven walks the talk against Elder Abuse.
15 June is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, aimed to shine a light on the often overlooked issues of abuse of human rights among elder persons. Each year, communities around the world are encouraged to raise awareness and take meaningful action to protect and support our elders.
At Montgomery Haven we chose to honour this day by inviting residents and community members for a reflective walk through our beautiful gardens, followed by nice warm tea – a meaningful step toward connection and community. We are committed not only to providing safe and compassionate accommodation, but also to building an inclusive, loving community where every person is valued.
